The Mobile Locksmith

WEBSITE

  • BACKGROUND
A launch of a mobile concept in the region – unlocking your phone and reaching local, regional and international markets. To create a well-constructed, simple and elegant UX website reaching a regional and global audience

  • OBJECTIVE
On the development side, TML owned several mobile network databases across over 120 countries. The challenge was to connect all the countries under one platform and segment them further via each mobile phone brand vis-a-vis linking global currency and exchange rates.
And ultimately to help create a more efficient, sales-friendly environment for their team, an API would need to be built and integrated with their current ERP – plus, have the IT infrastructure to support TML’s new digital capabilities.

  • SOLUTION
Our user experience team created an intuitive architecture to lay out a structure for eCommerce development. Networks were divided up by country, and we took an audience-centric approach, regrouping mobile phone brands into distinct categories that corresponded to TML’s audiences. The team set up an API to connect with their existing ERP, giving them access to critical sales features like mobile phone IMEI and user tracking across the new site. As a bonus, the integration also enhanced operational efficiency and visibility, strengthening inventory controls as well as their online and offline sales process.

  • RESULTS
Upgraded their current technology stack, the developers drew on the eCommerce power of Magento to develop the new site. Planting the seeds for TML’s digital growth was a challenge we felt well-prepared for as an agency. But even we were surprised by the results. On top of big gains in ROI and keyword rankings, TML saw a 315% increase in transactions and 423% increase in revenue using the paid media we created post-launch, compared to their competition (based on their research findings)
